Created in collaboration with Ambassador Mikey February, the Zafrique Ensemble takes inspiration from his roots in South Africa and the cosmic sounds of 60s-era psych-jazz. This limited-edition collection is fresh, free-spirited, and full of rhythm.
Phonos brings refined rhythm and soul to the Zafrique Ensemble. Taking design cues from both Myles and Hirsch, Phonos creates a dynamic look that’s both familiar and fresh, thanks to a wider fit, structured beveling, and a timeless silhouette.
Built to make a statement, Mystiq speaks to Mikey’s passion for the cosmic jazz of the 60s. The curvy, oversize silhouette provides full coverage and throwback style, while the sculpted temples give the frame a refined edge. Just like Mikey, this standout frame is for anyone who marches to their own drumbeat.
We applied Mikey’s signature Huru acetate blend to other classic styles in our lineup. Taking inspiration from his roots in South Africa, we chose the name “Huru” because in Swahili it literally means free, independent, and liberated.
