Our Process

Our process is seamless from start to finish, with meticulous attention to detail and quality from each cut and screw to every subtle nuance. Every pair of RAEN frames are designed in our California design studio and made to our exact original vision. All of our acetate is a unique and custom combination for our line, and every frame is built with hand-guided cutting, and then hand polished to finish. All of our lenses are manufactured by Carl Zeiss Vision, completing the process that makes every single frame RAEN.

Our Materials

Our handcrafted frames, premium rivet hinge hardware, quality cellulose acetate frames, wire core construction, and ZEISS lenses are just a few of the qualities showcasing our attention to detail.

All RAEN frames equipped with Carl Zeiss lenses offering 100% UVA/UVB protection, and helping to prevent eye strain, sun damage, and long-term vision concerns caused by ultraviolet exposure. UV rays are present year-round, even on cloudy days, so high-quality protection is essential for keeping your eyes healthy. With Zeiss lenses, you get world-class optics designed for both style and safety.

Our Lenses

A. MIRROR

Mirrors are cosmetic effects coming from the deposition of metals on the front of the lens. Mirrors only have the goal of adding an aesthetic quality to the lens, they do not add any additional performance benefits.

B. SOLID TINT

Solid tint lenses provide a uniform look and feeling for the user. We offer a wide range of tints to ensure our customers have no lack of options to choose from.

C. POLARIZED

When intense sunlight is reflected off a glossy surface (e.g. water, glass, asphalt, snow) the reflected light is polarized, and can cause glare. Polarized lenses absorb the rays that cause glare, while the remaining light is transmitted.

D. GRADIENT

We offer a variety of gradient lens tones. Gradients are created by dipping the lenses in a bath. These lenses offer a look that is undeniably on trend and work in a variety of light conditions.
